Privacy Policy
Effective 18 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how PDF Pebble ("PDF Pebble", "we", "us") handles information in the PDF Pebble app (available at app.pdfpebble.com and as an Android app) and on this website (pdfpebble.com).
The short version
- PDF Pebble does not require an account or login.
- Documents you scan are processed and stored on your device. We do not upload them to a server.
- The free version shows ads. Ad networks collect some device/usage data to serve and measure those ads — see "Advertising" below.
- PDF Pebble does not currently offer any in-app purchase — the app is free and ad-supported.
Information we collect
We collect as little as we can get away with. Specifically:
- Your documents. Photos and PDFs you create in the app are stored locally on your device. We do not have a server that receives or stores them. If you enable an optional cloud backup feature in the future, that will upload only to your own linked account (e.g. your Google Drive), not to PDF Pebble's servers.
- Purchase data. None — the current version has nothing to buy, so no purchase data is collected. If a paid option is introduced later, it would be handled by the Android app store's billing system, and we would receive only confirmation that an entitlement was purchased, tied to an anonymous identifier — never your name, address, or payment details. This policy will be updated before that happens.
- Advertising identifiers and usage data. The free version of the app displays ads served by Google AdMob. Subject to your consent choices (see "Advertising" below), AdMob and its partners collect and share four kinds of data — the same four declared in this app's Data safety section on Google Play: your advertising ID (and app set ID), approximate location derived from your IP address, app interactions such as taps and screen views, and diagnostics such as app launch time and crashes. These are used for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention.
- Website analytics/ads. This marketing website (pdfpebble.com) uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how the page is used — which sections people reach, where they click, and where they stop reading. Clarity records those interactions, along with standard details like browser, device type, approximate region and referring page, and uses cookies or similar technology in browsers that allow them. It may also show ads served by Google AdSense once that program is enabled. This applies to the website only: the PDF Pebble app does not include Clarity or any session-recording tool, and your scanned documents are never part of it.
Advertising
PDF Pebble's free tier is supported by ads. In regions where consent is required (including the EEA and UK), the app shows a consent prompt (via Google's User Messaging Platform) before loading personalized ads, and you can choose non-personalized ads or manage your choices at any time from the app's "Privacy / ad choices" link.
Children's privacy
PDF Pebble is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Its Google Play target audience is 13 and over, and the app asks Google to serve only ads rated suitable for teen audiences or below.
How long we keep information
Your documents live on your device for as long as you keep them there — we have no server-side copy to delete. The advertising data described above is retained by Google (AdMob) per its own retention policy, linked below. There are no purchase records, because the app has nothing to buy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information held about you (for example under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA). Because PDF Pebble doesn't hold an account-linked profile of you, most of what applies is handled directly by the third-party services below. For anything else, contact us at admin@myfairmate.com.
Third-party services we use
- Google (AdMob / AdSense / Play Billing)
- Microsoft Clarity — website analytics, this site only
- RevenueCat — in-app purchase management
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app and site evolve. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
